As many as 49 more persons were tested positive for Coronavirus and two patients died since the last 24 hours, ending at 10 AM, on Tuesday, taking the infection tally to 37,811 and death toll to 629 in the Union Territory.
According to the COVID-19 status released by the health department here, of the 3,195 swab sample tests conducted, 49 persons tested positive for the virus.
About 23 new cases each were reported from Puducherry and Mahe regions while Karaikal region reported two case and Yanam region one.
Nineteen persons were discharged during the last 24 hours. Six each of them were discharged from Puducherry and Mahe regions and seven discharged from Karaikal region.
Both the deaths were reported in Puducherry region.
