The COVID-19 toll in Sikkim rose to 73 while the tally touched
4004 since its inception here with 37 new confirmed cases.
According to the latest State Government Health bulletin, the state registered 3578
cases of recovery from COVID-19, 37 fresh positive cases have been recorded. 271
Active Patients are under treatment and 73 deaths so far.
Health Department has shown concern over masks hanging in open at shops as
those get exposed to dust and dirt .
‘It has been observed that masks have been hanged for sale in shops, exposing them
to virus and dust which is not safe. All the concerned Shopkeepers are advised to keep
masks in packets and sell. Besides this as the offices have reopened, if anyone gets
symptomatic he/ she may call the Health Department. Public may ask the Department
for a number of Quarantining days .In case anyone comes in contact with any primary
contact of COVID19 positive patient, Flu clinic should be approached for proper
guidelines,’ said Sonam Bhutia, Information,Education and Communication officer,
