A woman recently returned from England has been found to be Corona positive.
The district administration confirmed this on Friday. According to the district administration, 44 people have returned from England and are being investigated since November 25. Officials said that after the detection of a new strain of Corona virus (Kovid-19) in England, a list of these passengers has been sent by the state government.
The District Task Force held a meeting today to discuss ways to monitor travelers visiting the UK recently. Health officer of the civic body of Aurangabad, Dr. Neeta Padalkar said that out of 44 passengers, 11 passengers have undergone RT-PCR test and one of them was found infected. The condition of the woman suffering from Kovid-19 is currently stable and her samples have been sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune for medical examination. He said that special arrangements have been made at Seth Nandlal Dhoot Hospital to check people returning from England.
