Incumbent Donald Trump has won 14 states, including Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wyoming, Indiana and South Carolina, as counting of votes gets underway in the crucial presidential election.
The election witnessed a high turnout of 67 per cent.
As of now, Democratic party Challenger Joe Biden has emerged victorious in 11 States mainly traditional democratic party strongholds- Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico New York, Rhode Island Vermont and Virginia.
The election is is expected to be very tightly contested especially in the key battleground states, including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas are seeing neck to neck fight.
Most of the votes counted during early counting voting to mails and were expected to favour democrats, Republicans expect voting in person which took place in November 3 to be more in their favour.
