A
Woman leader of Shiv Sena, Sheetal Mhatre, has on Wednesday filed an FIR
against a Twitter user, Ashish Dwivedi, with the MHB Police.
The Complainant has alleged that she, along with her colleague, another party leader, Priyanka Chaturvedi, was facing death threat by Ashish Dwivedi. However, the concerned police have registered a case under section 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code.
In
a tweet on Wednesday, Chaturvedi thanked Sheetal Mhatre for helping her file an
FIR against the "open death threat."
She
said on Twitter, "Thank you @sheetalmhatre1 and @Iamrahulkanal for helping
file an FIR against such open death threats. Disagreement is acceptable,
threats aren't”.
In
a statement to the concerned police, Chaturvedi said, she has also put out a
screenshot of the tweet wherein the perpetrator has issued death threats to
her. Besides, he used objectionable words against me, she added.
