Hundred days after attacking a woman forest range officer, the accused TRS leader Koneru Krishna has been reinstated as deputy chairperson of Zila Parishad office. The victim officer, Chole Anitha, and her boss Raja Ramana Reddy have been transferred.

Justifying the transfer order, the government said that it was a routine process. However, Anitha and Ramana Reddy termed the move as politically motivated.

The accused Koneru Krishna, brother of Sirpur TRS MLA Koneru Konappa, was forced to quit his job after he was caught on camera brutally assaulting the woman forest range officer Anitha on June 30.

The forest team, along with Forest Range officer Anitha, was conducting a tree plantation drive on a Sunday (June 30) when TRS leader Koneru Krishna along with his supporters attacked Anitha and her team with sticks and bamboo.

During the attack, the woman forest range officer Anitha sustained injuries and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Anitha had alleged that the attack was led by the brother of local TRS MLA Koneru Kappa. The accused Krishna was himself the chairperson of Zila Parishad.
