Continuing the dip in positive cases, Telangana registered 761 fresh COVID-19 cases until 2000 hours on Thursday taking the total Cumulative virus cases to 2,67,665 so far.
Four COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state in the last 24 hours pushing the overall toll till date to 1,448 constituting a case fatality rate of 0.54 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.5 per cent, according to state health department bulletin issued on Friday.
A total of 702 people have recovered from Coronavirus between Wednesday and Thursday pushing the total recoveries in the state so far to 2,55,378 with a recovery rate of 95.40 per cent while the National recovery rate was 93.6 per cent, the bulletin said.
The state's active cases now stood at 10,839 including 8,651 individuals in home or institutional isolation.
In the past 24 hours, 42,242 swab samples were tested to detect the contagious virus and out of which the results of 631 swab samples were awaited, the bulletin said.
So far, 53,32,150 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state since the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) continued to be the main contributor of the virus cases by recording 136 fresh cases in the last 24 hours followed by Medchal Malkajigiri district (69) and Ranga Reddy district (55).
The remaining new cases were reported from other districts, the bulletin added.
