Telangana Assembly adopts resolution opposing CAA

Joining several other states in the country, the Telangana Assembly on Monday passed a resolution against the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao who moved the resolution said the state has strong reason to oppose CAA, NPR and NRC adding that there was no need for divisive politics.

He said the CAA has caused countrywide unrest.
