Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday paid tribute to over 40 slain Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan on first anniversary of Pulwama attack and said that the country will forever be grateful to India's brave hearts.
"India will forever be grateful of our brave hearts and their families who made supreme sacrifice for the sovereignty and integrity of our motherland," Shah tweeted.
On February 14 last year, a Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist rammed an explosive laden van to a CRPF convoy in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, killing over 40 of CRPF personnel and injuring dozens.
After this dastardly attack, Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out an airstrike and dropped bombs in the vicinity of the town of Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.
