HIGHLIGHTS
Samsung's The Frame QLED TV found many buyers during the Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale. The company announced that The Frame sold out even before the Flipkart sale ended at an attractive discounted price of Rs 84,999. The Frame was launched in India back in August at Rs 1,19,999.
Samsung in a press note revealed that 25 per cent consumers who ordered The Frame QLED TV were from Tier 3 cities. The premium Samsung television is currently out of stock on Flipkart and the e-commerce website has put up a Notify Me sign and is expected to go back on sale soon.
During the Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale, The Frame was available for Rs 84,999, which means a Rs 35,000 discount was offered on the Samsung QLED TV. In addition to the heavy discount, consumers could also avail Rs 5,000 cashback and No Cost EMI of Rs 3,541.
Samsung says the success of The Frame QLED TV and other QLED TVs on offer during this festive season sale will allow the company to take its market share in the 55-inch and above QLED TV segment from 49 per cent to 60 per cent. Samsung expects to sell 3 times more QLED TVs in the 55-inch and above category this festive season compared to the last season.
The Frame QLED TV, as the name suggests, is meant to turn the TV into a piece of wall art when switched off. The Frame can show 1000-plus artworks from around the world when Art Mode is enabled. Using the in-built brightness sensor, The QLED TV will adjust the screen brightness based on ambient light.
The Frame uses Samsung's Quantum Dot technology and HDR 10+ to offer excellent sharpness along with beautiful colours and contrast, according to Samsung. The TV is equipped with motion sensor to detect your presence, which will automatically turn the TV display into artwork. The TV supports Bixby and Google Assistant. It also comes with a 10-year no screen burn-in warranty and a three-year warranty on the panel.
