Union Minister of Health, Puducherry, Malladi Krishna Rao, resigned from his post on Wednesday. According to sources, Mr. Rao has submitted his resignation to Chief Minister V Narayanasamy. Mr. Rao has said that if the Chief Minister does not approve his resignation, he will send it to Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi.
He had also announced during an event held in his constituency Yanam that he himself or any of his relatives would not contest from any assembly seat and would continue to serve the people of his constituency if he was not an MLA. Prior to this, he has been handed over to the Government Housing and Government Car Administration.
