Police Plays Pivotal Role in Maintaining Law & Order: Amit Shah

“We
are gradually moving ahead in the path of path of progress and success. All the
Government officials, particularly the police personnel are pursuing their
respective duties and responsibilities properly”, said Union Home Minister,
Amit Shah.
“Whether we talk about Border Security Forces (BSF), CRPF or State Police, all are fighting against Terrorism, Naxalism, Crime etc at their own level. The police play play a pivotal role in maintaining law and order of the society. They leave no stone unturned to in proving security to the citizens and maintaining peace across the nation”, Shah added.
Shah
said, the government will undertake time-bound steps to ensure conducive
working environment, health and family welfare-related issues of the police
personnel.
The
Home Minister was speaking, after paying tribute to martyred police personnel
at a function in New Delhi on Monday. The program was organized on the occasion
of Police Commemoration Day at National Police Memorial.
National
Police Commemoration Day is observed every year on October 21 to remember the
brave policemen who have sacrificed their lives while discharging their duties.
Warm tributes are often paid to the martyrs on this day.
