Petrol and diesel prices surged in the national capital and stood at Rs 88.99 per litre and Rs 79.35 per litre, respectively on Monday.
Fuel prices surged for the seventh consecutive day, with costs increasing by Rs 2.04 per litre for petrol and Rs 2.22 for diesel in the same period.
In the National Capital, petrol has become costlier by 26 paise while diesel price increased by 29 paise.
In Chennai, automobile owners will have to pay Rs 91.19 per litre for petrol and Rs 84.44 per litre for diesel.
Petrol has become dearer in Chennai by 23 paise while diesel by 28 paise.
The prices in Kolkata reached Rs 90.25 per litre for petrol with a hike of 24 paise and Rs 82.94 per litre for diesel with 29 paise surge.
In Mumbai, petrol price rose 0.25 per litre to Rs 95.46 per litre and diesel up 30 paise to Rs 86.34 for every litre.
