Management Board Launches Vaccination Drives

States of Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi are getting water and power from Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB). 

Besides proving water and power to these states, the BBMB, with the help of the respective state Governments, is also running massive vaccination drive at its Project Stations and Sub Stations. More than 9000 people have so far been vaccinated at Nangal by the BMB Hospital. Those vaccinated include 5027 BBMB employees and their families above 45 years of age, besides 682 employees between 18 to 44 years and almost 3376 commoners. Altogether 130 people are being vaccinated every day at this hospital. In the same way, the Talwara hospital of BBMB has vaccinated about 5100 people till the third week of May 2021. Those vaccinated comprised 3300 staffs and their dependents above 45 years, 457 staffs between the age group of 18 to 44 years and 1372 common residents. Almost 110 people are being vaccinated everyday at this hospital. 

Meanwhile, at least three vaccination camps were also organized by the Management Board at Dehar Power House. Consequently, camps were also organized at Chandigarh.  Vaccination Camps were also organized at other Sub-Stations of BBMB that is at Panipat, Bhiwani, Jamalpur and other places to continue the vaccination drive. The BBMB has vaccinated over 15000 persons including 9097 BBMB employees and their families above 45 years of age, 1139 BBMB employees between 18 to 45 years of age and 4839 members of local inhabitants.  The BBMB is making determined efforts not only to vaccinate all its employees and their families at the earliest but also to serve the local population living in the vicinity. Apart from this, this hospital at Nangal, Sundernagar and Talwara are also treating Corona patients.  These hospitals are equipped with adequate availability of Oxygen Cylinders and other essential medicines to serve the patients.
