The lockdown has been extended to May 3 due to the rising coronavirus in the country. For this, a guideline has also been issued by the government. Keeping in mind the problems of the people, some essential services from the government will be exempted from April 20 with conditions. The government's guidelines outline what we and you can do, and what not. That is, what things or services will be exempt and which are prohibited.

These will be exempted:

  • Kirana and ration shops

  • Fruit-vegetable carts, shops selling sanitary items

  • Dairy and milk booths, shops selling poultry, meat, fish and feed

  • Electricians, IT repairs, plumbers, motor mechanics, carpenters, couriers, DTH and cable services

  • E-commerce companies will be able to start work. Necessary clearance will have to be obtained for vehicles used for delivery

It will be the responsibility of the district administration to arrange for the home delivery of all the necessary services. Not many people will leave when this happens. It will be necessary to follow social distancing at stores.

These services will also start from April 20

  • Offices with IT and related services. It will not have more than 50 percent staff.
  • Data and call centers that work only for government activities.
  • Private security and maintenance services of office and residential complexes.
  • Shops and dhabas will open on the highway for truck repair. It will be the responsibility of the state governments to follow social distancing here.
