Amid slogans hailing him, the mortal remains of fallen soldier, Rushikesh Ramchandra, Jondhale killed by Pakistani troops in Jammu and Kashmir, was consigned to flames with full military honors at his native place Bahirewadi in Ajara tehsil of the district on Monday morning.

The martyr's body, which had arrived by a special air force plain on Lohgaon airport in Pune last night, left for his native place Bahirewadi village by a military ambulance by road. Rushikesh(21), who had joined the Army only last year after completing his training at Belgaum, was given his first posting in Jammu and Kashmir, where he was killed along with three others in multiple ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops along LOC from Gurez to Uri sectors of JK on Friday.
