Kerala's senior Congress leader and former minister KK Ramachandran Master died of a heart attack here on Thursday at the age of 78.
Shri Ramachandran Kalpetta, who was a teacher before joining politics and was elected three times MLA from Sultan Bathery constituency. He was the Minister of Food and Civil Supplies in the erstwhile AK Antony Government and the Health Minister in Uman Chandy's Government. Shri Ramachandran Kozhikode was also the Secretary of the District Congress Committee. He was expelled from the party in 2011 for accusing some Congress leaders, although he was rejoined in 2014, but he was not active in politics.
