Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal presented his 5T Plan to fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. Elaborating further about the '5T plan' to control Coronavirus in Delhi, Mr. Kejriwal said, first T is 'Testing'.

''You cannot combat coronavirus if you don't test people. South Korea controlled Corona by testing people on a large scale,'' he said. Mr. Kejriwal said the Delhi Government will aggressively test to identify, treat, trace, quarantine and seal, along the lines of South Korea.

''South Korea successfully identified coronavirus infected patients through nation-wide testing,'' Mr. Kejriwal said. He said the Delhi Government has already ordered testing kits for 50,000 people.

''We have also ordered rapid testing for 1 lakh people,'' Mr. Kejriwal said.

The Chief Minister said second T is 'Tracing'.

''As our testing is ramped up, we will trace every single contact of positive cases through cellphone triangulation. We will keep 24-hour tabs on those in-home quarantines to ensure they're following it. We aim to be a few steps ahead of the virus,'' Mr. Kejriwal said.

He said third T is 'Treatment'.

''As of today, against 525 patients, we have made 2,950 beds available only for COVID-19. However, we have made a very detailed plan for ramping up our capacities up to 30,000 patients, for which we will take over hotels and banquet halls,'' he said.

The Chief Minister said if Delhi witnesses 30,000 cases, then 12,000 patients will be accommodated in hotels and 10,000 patients will be accommodated in banquet halls, besides that there are 8,000 hospital beds.

''All medical facilities will be available in these Hotels and banquet halls,'' he said.

Mr. Kejriwal said the fourth T is 'Teamwork'.

He said the nature of COVID-19 is such that no government or agency can defeat it in isolation.

''We cannot rest until all states in India are COVID-free for which all governments are working as one team. There is no alternative to teamwork,'' the Delhi Chief Minister said.

Mr. Kejriwal said the fifth T is ''Tracking & Monitoring''.

The Chief Minister said he will personally track and monitor every single aspect involved in making this plan successful.

''As Chief Minister, I will be responsible for ensuring all variables fall into place and I will be accountable if they don't,'' Mr Kejriwal added.
