Highlighting it as the 250th Session of the Rajya Sabha and the 70th Year of the Indian Constitution, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has termed the Winter Session of Parliament, as the most significant for all sections. PM Modi was addressing media persons ahead of Winter Session of the Parliament on Monday.

“As we know, this is the last session of Parliament for the year 2019 and also an important session as it is the 250th Session of the Rajya Sabha, which played a pivotal role in the development and progress of India”.

Noticeably, on November 26, 2019, we will observe the 70th Constitution Day. The Indian Constitution was adopted on November 26, 1949 marking the completion of 70 years this year.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister, praised the Rajya Sabha for playing a major role in putting India on the track of progress. He termed the Indian Constitution as the great doctrine that upheld the Unity, Integrity and Diversity of India.

In order to help the country get the best output, PM Modi appealed all the MPs to actively participant in the significant discussions and accordingly cite their views positively, as they had done in the previous session. If everything goes well, it would be more progressive and fruit fetching for the country. 

“Just like in the previous session, which had held immediately after the formation of the new government, we also expect active and positive participation of all the MPs. No doubt, the last session witnessed unprecedented achievements. Apart from being acknowledging it publically, we must be pride to our achievements that neither belongs to the Government nor the treasury benches. Instead, the credit goes to the whole Parliament and all the members must be offered honored for all such achievements”, Modi said.
