The
Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team performed a scintillating air display to mark the
87th Anniversary of Indian Air Force at the Air Force Station of Bhisiana in
Punjab on Monday. The Air Warrior Drill Team and the Air Force Band also made a
spectacular presentation.
According
to the information procured from the Public Relation Officer (Defense wing),
Chandigarh, the team, comprising nine Hawk MK 132 aircraft, left the spectators
spellbound by performing precision and synchronized aerial maneuvers,
showcasing the high level of professionalism of the IAF.
The
Air Warrior Drill Team enthralled the spectators with meticulous rifle
movements and the Air Force Band held them in sway with a melodious and
inspirational musical performance.
Major
General, SP Mehta, was the chief guest on the occasion.
Besides,
in-house staffs and their families, a large number of civilian dignitaries,
especially the school kids and IGP of Bhatinda district were also present
during the occasion.
The
Air Commodore GS Chauhan, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Bhisiana
appreciated the performance.
“Such
events and displays leave an indelible impression and would go a long way in
motivating the young minds to pursue a cherished career in the Indian Air
Force”, said Chauhan.
