A day after violent clashes erupted between supporters and protestors of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) here, Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday held a meeting with Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and leaders of political parties.
Delhi Commissioner of Police Amulya Patnaik, Congress leader Subhash Chopra, BJP's Manoj Tiwari and Ramvir Bidhuri besides Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Director of Intelligence Bureau Arvind Kumar attended the meeting.
The Home Minister has convened a meeting to discuss the current situation in Delhi, a Home Ministry official said.
The move came after the Home Minister reviewed the law and order situation in the National Capital on Monday night following violence in northeast Delhi.
