Delhi on Monday witnessed a light foggy morning with the minimum temperature being pegged at 9 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department said.

A light sheet of mist will also be seen throughout the week and the weather will be dry, the IMD forecast.

At the same time, pollution may increase due to reduced wind speed. In many places, the air quality index can range from poor to very poor.

According to the IMD, the minimum temperature in Delhi is likely to be 9 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees this week.

According to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the overall Delhi air quality is in the low-end of the Very Poor category as forecasted. Surface winds are low and forecasted to improve over the next two days. AQI is likely to improve towards the lower end of Very Poor for the next three days.
