“The voters in Maharashtra and Haryana have reposed their trusts in the Chief Ministers of the states. Now, we would like to assure that they will work even harder in the next five years to serve them”, said Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

PM Modi was addressing the party workers at the BJP Headquarters in New Delhi after the results of recently concluded assembly polls were declared on Thursday.

“When the governments often lose power after five years, it is remarkable that the BJP dispensations in both states have been given a fresh mandate for five years”, PM Modi said. He described the party’s performance in Haryana as unprecedented and noted that its vote sharing had gone up to 36 per cent in this assembly polls from 33 per cent in 2014.

“Over the last 50 years in Maharashtra in, not a single Chief Minister has been able to serve the state for 5 consecutive years. But the BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis has successfully completed a five-year term as a Chief Minister in the state”, PM Modi said.
