CJI Gogoi recommended Bobde's name as his successor

Official sources told PTI that Justice Gogoi has written a letter to the Ministry of Law and Justice recommending Justice Bobde to be the next Chief Justice.

Justice Gogoi was sworn in as the 46th Chief Justice of the country on October 3, 2018. He will retire on 17 November.

Official sources said that according to the tradition, the Chief Justice has recommended the name of the next senior-most judge after him as his successor.
