Apple announced Apple TV+ (Plus) back in March this year. Starting today, November 1, users will be able to use Apple TV+ across the world, including India. We at India Today Tech checked the Apple TV+ app on iPhone and found that the service is yet to be available and says it is "coming soon". The Apple TV+ is said to be available in India at 12:30 PM. It is clear that with the TV+ Apple wants to take on the likes of other premium subscription streaming applications like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and others.

Apple TV+ brings popular movies, shows, and original TV programs to users. The service isn't just limited to Apple device users but is also available for some Android smart TV users as well. It should be noted that Android phone users will not be able to get access to Apple TV+. In the future more Android smart TVs will get Apple TV+ support, the company has confirmed.

Apple TV+ offers shows across various genres like drama, horror, comedy, and others to the users. The TV+ app also allows users to buy and rent movies and TV shows from iTunes. This means all Apple TV+ users will be available to watch content available on TV+ app as well as buy or rent shows and movies from iTunes within the application.

Besides the Apple TV+ original shows, most shows and movies available on the application are paid and need to be purchased to watch. The TV+ application is designed to show personalized recommendations for movies and TV shows the user might be interested in. The recommendations are based on the user's search on iTunes and other applications.

How much do you need to pay for Apple TV+?

Apple TV+ is available at Rs 99 per month. For now, there's just monthly subscription available. Before subscribing, users will be given seven days of a free trial. Apple has confirmed that up to six users can use the TV+ application at a time. Users can have one subscription per Family Sharing group and the plan will be automatically renewed until canceled.

Apple has announced that all users buying a new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or Apple TV will get one-year free access to Apple TV+. Post the free 1 year users will need to subscribe to use Apple TV+.
