Terming the Hospital
fire incident in Rajkot of Gujarat as shocking, the Supreme Court has on Friday sought response from the state government in this regard.

The apex court took a suo motu cognisance of the incident. As many as five coronavirus patients were charred to death and six others injured in the fire that broke out in a Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital at 1230 hrs. A three-judge Bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, R Subhash Reddy and MR Shah said that recurrence of such fire accidents needs thorough introspection. The Top Court will again hear the matter on December 1, 2020.
