About a dozen workers were injured when a heavy iron structure fell on the under construction bridge on Jhalawar Road in Kota, Rajasthan.

According to the information received, about a dozen workers of a private construction company were injured in the accident. The alleged negligence on the part of the private company engaged in the construction of this bridge and the officials of the Kota Municipal Development Trust, which is monitoring this work, is being investigated seriously.

Shanti Dhariwal, MLA from Kota (North) and Minister for Urban Development and Autonomous Governance, has directed a high-level administrative and technical investigation into the incident. The investigation of this incident has been submitted to a three-member inquiry committee under the leadership of Smart City Project Chairman of Kota. The committee will submit its report in three days.
